Who Am I?
My name is Micaëla Clarke (she/they). I’m a fiction writer and poet living on Canada’s West Coast. Originally from the prairies, I moved to the coast to complete a BFA in Writing. My favourite books are The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow, anything by V.E Schwab, and The Mirror Visitor by Christelle Dabos. I like books that subvert my expectations, that twist tropes into something new and interesting, and whose prose toes the line of poeticism. When I’m not writing, I’m reading, crafting, or rewatching Twilight and other movies and TV shows. I might also be diving down a rabbit hole about a random topic that has caught my interest (recently, the Fighting Dinosaurs Fossil).
What Do I Do?
I’m a fantasy author! I am also a freelance writer and editor. I have worked on supplementary lore for Vampire: the Requiem, and I worked as an editor for the Warren Undergraduate Review.
